Rutledge Marathon

The first-ever Shop with a Cop Grainger County Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Marathon was held Saturday at Ritter Farms. The purpose of the fundraiser was to provide a happier holiday for children who will be able purchase $100 of merchandise at Wal-Mart with a law enforcement partner.


EMS Director’s post up for grabs

RUTLEDGE – The Grainger County EMS Board is seeking applications for a new EMS Director despite the fact emergency personnel have been lobbying for the permanent hiring of Interim Director David Yankee.

Crematorium back on track

BEAN STATION – The city of Bean Station has no recourse in preventing the operation of a crematorium constructed at the corner of Highway 25E and Crossroad Drive, according to the city attorney.
